iPhone Not Ringing? Here’s Why and How to Fix It

🔍 1. Check the Silent/Ring Switch

Make sure the Ring/Silent switch on the left side of your iPhone isn’t set to silent (orange showing). It’s easy to flip it by accident.

📵 2. Do Not Disturb or Focus Mode Might Be On

Go to Settings > Focus or check Control Center to make sure Do Not Disturb, Sleep, or Work mode isn’t activated.

🔊 3. Volume Settings

Try this:
- Press the Volume Up button
- Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics and increase Ringtone volume
- Ensure “Change with Buttons” is enabled

☎️ 4. Check Blocked Contacts or Unknown Call Settings

Go to Settings > Phone > Blocked Contacts – make sure important numbers aren’t listed
Also, check Silence Unknown Callers under Phone settings

📲 5. Restart or Force Restart

A simple restart can clear up software glitches.
If that doesn’t help, try a force restart:
- iPhone 8 or newer: Press Volume Up → Volume Down → Hold Power button until Apple logo appears
